Top Things I Wish Medical School Taught Me

I wanted to share a few of the top things that I wish I learned in medical school. The top being the power of FOOD!  THIS IS THE NUMBER 1 way to boost your immune system.  (Hands down, seal the deal, write it on stone tablets, stop arguing...this is #1)

  1. You can’t fix health without understanding #1.

  2. Adequate sleep.

  3. Outdoor play and exercise.

  4. Filtered water. (NO or very limited sugary beverages)

  5. Avoidance of toxins of all kinds as these may weaken the immune system. (stress ball, EMF, chemicals, pesticides, tattoos, medications, makeup and beauty products, radiation, CT scans, heavy metal/aluminum cans, plastics)

  6. Yes, supplements can be AMAZING, needed, and necessary.  What kind?

    1. Whole food, organically-grown, nutrient dense

    2. Find companies you trust, knowing even trusted companies can be sold to untrustworthy buyers.  (I love Standard Process, Energetix, Klaire)

    3. Start with nutrition, add in nutritional supplements, then herbs or homeopathy when you need stronger products for faster results.

  7.  The body wants to be well and does an amazing job until it just can’t compensate any longer.  So give it what it wants and needs to function properly.
